How To Treat Receding Gums Leading To Burning Sensation And Bumps Under The Tongue?

I recently used a clinical strength product to treat receding gums and it actually burned the inside of my mouth behind my bottom teeth and the tip of my tongue.. After examining my mouth thoroughly I noticed a couple of bumps on the underside of my tongue right on the cord part....any idea what this could be?

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your explanation it seems that there have been CHEMICAL BURNS due to the product that you have used in order to treat your receding gums which has led to inflammation and the bumps occurred as a result of inflammatory reaction to the chemical..

I would suggest you to consult a dentist and get evaluated and in case if it is chemical burns you can suck on ice pops as it will provide relief..

Drink plenty of cold water as it will provide relief..

In case of pain you can take Advil or Tylenol..

Gargle with salt water can be relieving..

Alcohol free mouth rinses can be used to gargle to avoid infections..

Avoid hot, spicy, hard and sharp food products as they can add to discomfort..

Hopefully the bumps will regress in size in next 3 to 4 days..

For receding gums you can consult a dentist and get professional cleaning of the teeth and under the gums done along with antibiotics intake and mouthwashes and gum paint can help..

Hope your query is solved..
