How To Treat Pimples And Acne?

Hi Doctor, I am a male, age 27, who is having issues with pimples and acne since my 17 years of age, I tried different creams and tablets with no better solution to this problem, I usually get one pimple at a time on my face especially on my nose area and after the pimple is gone it leaves a mark on my face. So please provide me with a possible solution for this problem I have, Thank you.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

As you said you have acne vulgaris. It is a multifactorial disease. There may be genetic tendency also. Stress, anxiety, sun exposure, oily food, drugs like steroids, dandruff..etc might exacerbate the disease. Minocycline cap 50 mg in morning and isotretinoin 5 mg at night for long time would be of great help in reducing the lesions. Adapalen gel application at night might improve the condition. Cleanse the face with antiseptic facewash like acmed. Have patience for the result. But, take treatment under observation of dermatologist.

Thanks.
