Thank you for your question. I am Dr Asanghanwa Carlson. A stroke is due to an obstruction of blood flow to a part of the brain or bleeding in the brain due to the rupture of a blood vessel. This is generally manifested by a deficit on the side of the body the affected part of the brain controls. I would say the right side paralysis and difficulties swallowing and talking are as a result of her stroke. The association of drooling and choking on salivation three months later is a bad sign and signals the worsening of her condition which might be an extension of the affected zone in the brain. I would advice you immediately take her to a hospital where she can be consulted and admitted in an Intensive Care Unit for proper follow up. Her management entails continuous intensive care. I wish you the best of luck hoping she recovers quickly
