Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a pimple on my eyebrow pop today. Within a few hours it has swollen very large and is very painful and sore. It is putting pressure on my eye and am worried it might swell my eye shut. Should I try to wait until the morning to see if it gets better or go to the ER?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful and sore pimple on eyebrow , which is putting pressure on eye . Well there can be many reasons for bump n eye brow like cyst , , pimple or infected pimple , allergic reaction or infected hair follicle . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for prper examination . Doctor will examine it physically about its consistency and tenderness to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics (clindamycine or minocyclin ) or give small incision under local anesthesia to drain it along with anti inflammatory . For now do not touch , squeeze or pick it with hand .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
