How To Treat Pain In Kidney Area After Getting Hit At The Back?

I was messing around with friends and in the process got kicked in the lower right, section of my back. It s a little pain (not severe, just uncomfortable) near what I think is kidney area. Not certain, it did hurt bad when bending over, but not too bad now. Still hurts in general or when I sit against a chair. I ve tried medication but it doesnt look visibly swollen. But tender to touch. To help: I have no fever, no problem with urination (no blood) does not hurt to cough. Just uncomfortable.Could this just be a sore muscle from the sudden kick ? Because of lacking symptoms, I have no reason to believe a kiddney problem

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case. I think it is most probably a muscular injury due to kick. It is not looking like a kidney issue. So i would recommend you following.e
1.Avoid lifting heavy weight or sudden bending.
2.Hot water fomentation is helpful for you.
3.Local application of volitran ointment
4.Muscle relaxant like Myospaz or Myoril can be tried.
I hope these steps will be helpful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
