Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Several times a day I get a pain right in the middle of my chest between my breasts and on some flat bones. I press it with my finger for a while and then it goes away. It keeps coming back. For some reason I thought these bones were ribs or sternums and wanted to know if this is serious or is it just wind. I am just up from a bacteria infection when I would pass a lot of gas, now I don t so just wondered if that was the reason or is it something more serious. Thank you for reading this. Sunita.

Hi Thanks for posting Based on your symptoms it's advisable to get cardiac(heart)checkup done that is ECG,Lipid profile and if required TMT.If the physician delares you fit then it could be because of costochondritis. It may be relieved by following measure along with the drugs like ibuprofen- 1. Avoiding unnecessary exercise or activities that make the symptoms worse; avoid contact sports until there is improvement in symptoms, and then return to normal activities only as tolerated. 2.
