How To Treat Mastitis?

my one month old son was diagnosed with mastitis. they gave him antibiotics that he has to take twice a day for 10 days. what are the chances that it will get worse and possibly have to get lanced and is lancing a surgery where they have to go in and surgically removed the bacteria? is this cancerous? can it lead to cancer?

HI
Well come to HCM
I appreciate your concern, first of in one month child mastitis is very less likely, even if this mastitis then this given excellent response with proper antibiotic and there would be no need for surgery, antibiotic kills all the bacteria if this is bacterial infection, bacteria can not be removed by any methods, this is not the cancer and can not be cancer, any more, hope this information helps.
