How To Treat Kidney Infection In A 11 Years Old Child?

I took you 11 year old daughter to the Dr. yesterday and he said she has a kidney infection. She had blood and proten in her urine. he put her on bactrim ds tablet. she is sick to her stomach. She was running a fever so I gave her 3 teaspoons of ibuprofin. I came in to check on her and she is cool and wet. Do you think that this is because her fever broke?

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. By what you quote...I feel your kid may be having urinary infection. I would ,like to know about -

1. Any ultrasound scan or MCU of DMSA scan have been done or not?
2. I need to know about urine culture reports and if any previous infections?

I suggest you not to give Ibuprofen, as it is deleterious to kidneys.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
