How To Treat Itchy Bumps All Over The Body?

l started Victoza two weeks ago. After one week on .06 dosage, l increased to 1.2. The next days small hive-like bumps appeared randomly on my body, neck to ankles. The number of bumps increased as did the intensity of the itch. The time is now 1:27 AM. l am unable to sleep because of severe itching. l am trying to get an appointment with a dermatologist. What can l do in the meantime to stop the itching?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi,
from the appearance of the rash you have reacted to the medication.
stop the medication and take an antihistamine like piriton or cetrizine to ease the itching.
you can use calamine lotion or antipuritic cream to ease the itching.
you can then go back to your physician to change the medication or give you a subsitute.
if the itching gets worse go to the nearest hospital for an injection to stop further reaction.
hope to have answered your question.
with kind regards,
dr zainab.
