How To Treat Itching Sensation On Skin Caused Due To Poison Ivy?
What can I do to get rid of my poison ivy? Both my husband and I have it end it seems to slowly be spreading. This morning, I woke up to an intense itch that I swear is poison ivy in my vaginal area. My husband thinks it is on his penis too. We been fighting this stuff for over a week now with every otc remedy we can find.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Itching sensation is due to allergic reaction to poison ivy. This is a very common problem. Immediate wasing with cold water is advocated . As itchy rash has taken place. You should take an anti-allergic medicine like cetrizine/benedryl by mouth. Calamine lotion may help to reduce symptoms. A corticosteroid ointment is very helpful In case of severe symptoms you should visit your doctor & steriods may be needed.
If problem persist visit a physician Hope this information helps
