How To Treat Itchiness On The Legs And Hands Caused Due To Scabies?

I Have been very itchy since after oct 5th ,2017 . I went to the hospital right after thanksgiving and the doctor diagnosed me with scabies but he didn t even check and look he just talked to me. It started with my feet , my feet always very moist and they were very itchy , i looked and seen a hard bubble that i decided to pop thinking it would make they itchiness go away but it did not. Instead my legs became very itchy and then the rest of my body except for my genitals they are the only thing that doesn t itch. I started getting bubbles on my and hands and in between my fingers and toes. When i pop them they ooze clear liquid and the bubbles tend to be tough. I now have many scars from scratching and on my hands and feet. Those are the only place i get bubbles on. I scratch until the point that i am bleeding because it is so bad especially at night or after a bath. I also have a friend with the same exact symptoms . I can rule out any stds as we have both been tested even though we aren t sexually active. We went to came for a about a week from july 31st to aug 5th 2017. Someone also moved into each of our homes in sept . The doctor said that scabies is very contagious but no one in my household or hers has the symptoms. They are fine. We are the only ones. Also eczema and asthma runs in each of our family s so i do not know if the plays a role. I want a second opinion before i go spend 80 dollars on medicine that i may not need. I would also like to had that my friend also went to the doctor she was told that she does not have scabies but my doctor told me i had it. But neither of our doctors actually looked at our bodies.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply a permethrin 5% lotion once a week from neck to toe at night.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral Ivermectin and Crotamiton lotion given only after consulting a dermatologist.
