How To Treat Itchiness And Hives?

I have been experiencing bouts of itchiness and hives appearing. At the moment it is mostly my ankles and top of feet esp at night it goes mad. I took antihistamines for a few days and it helped but now it is back. Please help I have checked for bugs etc and my partner is clear

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain itching and hives that gets relieved with anti histamines seems to be due to allergic reaction to some unknown allergens..
It can be due to a number of causes like certain foods and medications, detergents, skin cosmetics,latex,leather etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can advise you to get allergic testing done like Patch test, Prick test, RAST test, food challenge test etc to rule out the symptoms and treat you accordingly..
You can be advised to take a long course of anti allergics like Levocetrizine, Allegra etc..
Apply steroid ointment over the rashes and hives..
Apply Calamine lotion and do cool compresses.
You can be advised an Immunotherapy to reduce the severity and frequency of allergic symptoms..
