How To Treat Irregular Bowel Movement In Infants?

my daughters daughter is almost 5 months and she just started on cereal and now pears. She hadn't pooped in 4 days and just today she was going a little at a time and just now she was trying to pass another stool and it got stuck. What is your advice for this. We gave her a warm bath so far.

Hi there,

I'd recommend feeding her softer foods than cereal and increasing her fluid intake. If here stools are hard, that's a clear sign that she's not getting enough fluid and she's not ready for solid food.

I hope this is helpful. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
