How To Treat Insomnia?

I have a 12-year-old who is suffering from severe insomnia. His blood work just came back normal, but he's awake AGAIN. He has High Functioning Autism, so I know that's probably part of the cause. I need him to go to sleep tonight. I have Xanax for my back....25 mg. Can I give him one tonight?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
You can give a single tablet of xanax 0.25mg to your kid. There is no harm. But donot give it in routine as its habit-forming.
Do visit a psychiatrist for further management.
Hope your kid gets a good night sleep.
Thanks.
