How To Treat Hyper Acidity?
good afternoon doctor, i am 70 years and have had hyper acidity for the lasr 30 years. i have over this period used every antacid available and some did help for a while but i had to channe it every now and then, presently i am in toronto and drink tap water, is there a possibility that chlorine in the tap water is irritating my sromach, added to this i am now getting a burning sensation in the anus, generally i am healthy as i walk at keast 6 kilometres daily and have diabetes nor bp. can you comment. thank you

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the hyperacidity then it needs to be treated in proper way with particular drugs up to particular time period like it needs to be treated with Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day for six weeks and dose needs to be taken at evening time because acid secretion in gastric region is more at evening time these the way to treat the acidity antacid alone will not work, chlorine in water may not cause hyperacidity.
