my 14 year old son has been hoarse for several weeks. The doctor thought it was allergy related and he has been on allergy medicine since then with no change in his voice. Can it be a symptom of his voice changing and will it ever clear up? He weighs about 108 lbs and has reflux but no other health conditions.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Based on the age of the of your child, the symptoms can be related to the voice change. Hoarseness is quite common in children. Encourage your child to rest their voice by not talking loudly or shouting.
