How To Treat High Fever And Pain Which Does Not Reduce By Ampicillin And Tylanol?

My daughter has been suffering from a high fever (102-103.5). Everything she eats taste's salty to her. She has been sick for 3-4 days. Took her to ER last night. They diagnosed a sinus infection and prescribed ampicillin. Gave her Tylanol # 3 for pain and cough Still no better. She is 30 years old.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. This is a diagnosed case of sinusitis and i would advice such patients for an additional/ change to broadspectrum antibiotic , continue Tylanol. Add nasal decongestant drops followed by plain water steam inhalation, complete bed rest. An X-ray or a CT scan may help to confirm the clinical diagnosis by your Doctor. and blood tests to support.
