How To Treat Fluid In Lungs?

My mother has fluid in the lungs and is in the hospital. They are giving her lasax. She has gotton sicker and tonight her heart stopped beating and they were able to bring her back and put her on a ventilaer. Will she be aboe to wake up and be able to breath on her own?

I can understand your concern.
By your description, your mother is mostly having heart failure and related complications.
Her heart is not functioning well. This causes fluid accumulation in lungs. For this diuretics (Lasix) are given.
But in severe cases, Lasix will not work.
And this is likely happened in her case. She was not responding to the Lasix, hence he went into cardiac arrest tonight.
Overall, her prognosis is very bad. Chances of survival is very very less.
So there are no chances of her to wake up and breath by own. Sorry to say this.
