How To Treat Fever?

My son is 14. He ran fever with round the clock tylenol doses for the entire week. He was first prescribed a z pack and cedifier sp?, which wasn t working, so they put him on eurithomyacin sp? None of that worked, so they did a mono test and it was negative (also neg flu and strep), but his white blood cell count was 18.0, granulocytes were 16.4. Everything else was within normal range, but on the high end. He developed thrush in his throat and chest to his horror, so now he s on fluconazole 200mg/3days. What other virus would cause such a thing?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that this could be viral fever stop giving the anti-biotic, changing the antibiotic within two or three days is not advisable, you have to wait till few more days, this will come around, hope this information helps you, take a good care of child and have a nice day.
