How To Treat Fever And Sore Throat?

Hi doctor, I have been detected with typhoid in widal test.... Its been 8 days now ... But my fever is below 100 always dat too mainly in evenings.... Have sore throat and stomach pain as well....Also i have suffered typhoid twice before... The second time when i got typhoid, that time also my fever was below 100 degrees... Please suggest dat should i go for any other test or take typhoid medication....

Hi,
Widal is a non specific test for typhoid and we see widal reactivity in many non typhoidal illnesses. so first make sure that it is typhoid, you require blood culture or urine culture for confirmation.
secondly, consider other possibilities of fever like malaria and ricketssial fevers (if in indian subcontinent), tuberculosis and so on.
you need to consult a physician who is expert in fevers for getting the diagnosis, and unless correctly diagnosed, fevers can be troublesome.
