Hello. My ear hurts almost everytime I swallow food. And especially drinks. When I pull on it it feels better and doesn't hurt anymore. Is there anything I can take to relieve this pain. I am goig snowboarding tomorrow and really would like to go without any pain.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have ear pain which can be cause by many factors like stress , temporomandibular joint problem , wisdom tooth , allergic reaction , ear canal dermatitis , otitis media , cervical spondolysis and increase blood pressure. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like audiometery , CT scan ,MRI , low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax build-up , middle ear infection. Keep your ear drops along with you. You should take antibiotics along with anti inflammtory medicines like ibuprofen and diclofenac. Take steam inhalation. Avoid excessive hard substance eating.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
