Hello, i have dry scalp and a lot of dandruff. It is not itching and i have tried a different medicated dandruff shampoo. This does not go away...I shower nearly daily and use the medicated shampoo.. Is there any other alternative i could do to solve this problem Thanks
Hi, There are no alternatives to dandruff treatment except for using medicated shampoos. Of late if you find the using one shampoo doesn't stop dandruff then use a second shampoo on alternate days. I would suggest to first try a shampoo with 2% ketoconazole. Then if it doesn't clear with that, use salicylic acid shampoo on every alternate day. If still it doesn't work, then you try both keto and salicylic shampoo on same day. If it still doesn't work, then you have to use a steroid shampoo which should be used only under the guidance of a dermatologist.
