For the past three months I started getting dry patches on my hair line and I thought I had dandruff but its different it comes out in the same spots and it gets really dry if I don t put cream on it but recently I notice it started spreading on my left side of my face and turning lighter than my skin color
Hello Thank you for posting on HCM. From your description, it seems you have got pityriasis versicolor, a kind of superficial fungal skin infection. The management is pretty straight- forward. I would suggest you two oral dose of fluconazole 400mg with a gap of 15 days. Apply ketoconazole cream twice a day over affected sites. Use a shampoo containing selenium sulfite and ketoconazole for rinsing of the affected sites. Hope this will take care of your issue. Thank you Dr Hardik Pitroda
