How To Treat Drainage From The Incision After Keyhole Surgery?

Hi, I had keyhole surgery to remove my gall bladder 3 weeks ago. All of the incisions are healing well and the scabs have gradually fallen off all of the scars, apart from inside my belly button where there is some crusty formation (sorry as sounds gross). I think it is leftover scar glue or drainage from the incision. Is it safe to try and remove it myself or could I cause damage?
