How To Treat Diverticulitis?

I have diveraticulitis (sp) and although its not painful, I tend to hear and feel popping and loud noises after I eat.. The noise comes from beneath my stomach near where I think my intestines are. Other than that diagnosis, I had a clean colonoscopy in August.

Acute uncomplicated diverticulitis is successfully treated in 70-100% of patients with conservative management.

Acute diverticulitis tends to be more severe in very elderly people and in patients who are immunocompromised or who have debilitating comorbid conditions, such as diabetes and renal failure.

For you simple 7to14days of antibiotics therapy suffient.

Complicated cases like abscess CT guided drainage required.

Not responding cases surgical resection may required.
