hello
i have gone through your query.you have not mentioned the age of your child.Constipation is a very common problem among kids.constipation can occur due to transition from breast milk to baby formula, or from baby food to solid food.Most of the time, constipation is due to a diet that doesn't include enough water and dietary fiber, which both help the bowels move properly.
Stress can also lead to constipation.

constipation can be because of other reasons also like
Some neurological conditions.
An underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism).
Cystic fibrosis.
As a side-effect of certain medications

as you have said there is no obstruction seen,
if i were your treating doctor i wud suggest primary treatments first as for most cases of constipation;
A stool softener, also known as a laxative, to clear the bowels.
A high-fiber diet with plenty of fluids.Foods containing probiotics, like yogurt, can also promote good digestive health.
Encourage your child to use the toilet first thing in the morning and after every meal or snack.

if the symptoms persist then i wud suggest you to visit a physician or gastroentrologist

Hope this ans helps

Regards
Dr. Shesh
