Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the most common causes for clogged nostril can be either formation of nasal polyp, foreign body impaction or can also be due to sinus congestion caused due to Sinusitis..
Other causes can be deviated nasal septum, allergies etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and investigations like Nasal Endoscopy and PNS view x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned according to the cause..
In case of nasal polyp steroid nasal sprays can help in shrinkage..
In case of no resolution steroid injection or surgical removal can help..
In case of sinusitis antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller, decongestants oral as well as nasal and steam inhalation can help..
In severe cases surgical drainage of sinuses can be done..
Anti allergics can help in relieving allergies..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of clogged nostrils which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection leading to bronchitis/ granular pharyngitis. It could be due to nasal polyp and due to collection of debris and mucus in nasal area. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory medications. Your symptoms will resolve in 1 week. if symptoms keeps on persisting you should consult ENT specialist and take proper treatment. You should get X-ray chest done along with pulmonary function tests. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for 5 days along with decongestants and mucolytic agents. You should do warm saline gargles and take steam twice a day. Avoid use of sharp and spicy food substances. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
