I am 39 year old female and have had shoulder pain now for about 3 years, the pain goes up my neck into head causing headaches and down right arm. I have been to doctor, physio and orthapedic massage and it can be fine for a while but keeps coming back. My right pec muscle is slightly swollen too. I dont know where to turn to now !

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Cause of shoulder pain may be intrinsic to the shoulder joint or arises from the nerves that supply the shoulder joint; both have almost similar symptoms.

Probable diagonosis can be made after thorough clinical examination and an add on mri if required. Management would be based on diagonosis only.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Rohan Shanker Tiwari
