I had a bunch of small like water blisters come up on my upper lip right in the corner. They are very painful and it looks like water coming out of them. I have never had this before and now its swelling. I am on omnicef for a current sinus infection what is this and could I have contracted the herpes virus?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
From your history and description, it seems that you could be having Herpes labialis. It is an infection cause by herpes virus. It could be precipitated by infections , fever, trauma, sunlight and stress.
You could benefit from taking a course of oral Acyclovir or Valacyclovir fro 5 days.
You could also apply a topical antiviral cream containing acyclovir.
The blisters will heal in 7-10 days time.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
