MY BROTHER IS SUFFERING FROM BIPOLAR DISORDER FOR LAST 8 YEARS. HE HAS ALSO HEART PROBLEM, HIS ONE VALVE IS DAMAGE . HE IS TAKING MEDICATION FOR BOTH DISEASES.BUT THERE IS NO CURE .SOMETIMES HE BECAME VIOLENT AND START FIGHTING WITH FAMILY MEMBERS.PLZ TELL THE SOLUTION.

You have not mentioned the medicines that your brother is on. hence it is difficult to identify why he is not improving. the best therapies for bipolar mood disorder is divalproex sodium and olanzapine. Also there are options of lithium and quetipaine and aripiprazole etc.
