How To Treat Arm Pain Post Implantation?

I had implanon inserted 3 weeks ago, the bruising has all healed. However I am still unable to bend my arm without shooting pain, even for the shortest amount of time like to undo my bra strap. Will this settle down after a few more weeks, or should I get it removed? (I have previously had two other implanons without any problems).

Hi,

In my opinion you will have to give more time for inflammation to settle since it is second or third implant surgery. Wait for at least 3-4 weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
