How To Treat Anus Soreness?

I have colon cancer (diagnosed last October) which is inoperable because 1. I have severe c.o.p.d. 2. I am 82 years of age.
I have had two lots of R.T. which actually seem to have aggravated the problem so that it seems my anus is open all the time, extremely sore AND very recently a polyp has appeared outside my rectum. This in itself doesn't appear sore but the anus is extremely sore: I have been given cortisode ointment but it doesn't seem to be relieving it. Can you help please ?

the commonest side-effect of R.T. is that it kills the rapidly growing new cells., Skin cells belong to the same category and therefore there is soreness. You have to just apply calamine lotion or other soothing creams to the local area. It is advisable to take some multivitamins which help in regeneration of skin.
Methylene blue is a blue coloured solution which can be painted over the sore area to give you relief. Ask your colorectal doctor and he will help you.
take care
wish you good health
