How To Treat Abscess In Sutures That Becomes Unknotted?

sir i got laproscopic tubectomy 10 days back my doc had created two incisions on both the sides of umbelical cord but not in the same line and sutured with vicryl. however thinking that it is absorbable sutures i didnot get it removed. now after nine days of surgery i notice abcess in one of the sutures which became unknoted today morning and i removed it myself. i also removed the remaining sutures with sterilized instruments as i am myself a dentist. sir now i would like to know why did this happen and how to treat this. i didnot have pain before but now i am feeling little burning sensation in the wound
