How To Treat A Sore Throat With White Spots?

Yes I m a female65years old living in Sydney australia. I ve developed a sore throat and mouth recently which is very painful. There is a big red patch on the top inside of my mouth that hurts plus two white spots on the throat . My tongue feels as though it has been cut. Swelling anything including saliva is painful.

Hello,
Thank you for the post on HCM.
I have gone through your history which is in favor of Upper Respiratory tract infection and aphthous ulcer in the mouth and in the throat.
The causes for the ulcers should be evaluated.
I would have advised
1. Oral Antiboitics for 5 days
2. Mouth Gargling with chlorhexidene mouth wash
3.Oral Analgesics and Antipyretics
4. You can apply ulgel or Dentogel on the spots.
Your symptoms will come down with this.
I wish you a speedy recovery.
