How To Treat A Sore Back?

My back is killing me after rugby practice. There was no contacked just alot kf shiffting. I dropped E on Friday night so my back was already sore since. Now when i swallow just a drink of water, it sends a heightened pain right in my spin. The same spot where it is sore. Its also more of a challenge now to sit straight.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem is most likely strain to back muscles . But if you have a radiating pain towards leg then you should have a physical examination by orthopedician to rule out any trauma to spine or intervertebral disc. For muscle strain I treat with NSAIDs like aceclofenac muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside and advice rest from hard physical exertion for 3 to 5 days. Initially can apply ice packs. After 3 to 4 days you can apply hot water bags. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further queries.
