How To Treat A Painful Cold Sore Inside The Lips?

Do canker sores always hurt? I have a sore on the inside of my bottom lip and I am concerned it could be a cold sore. I do get them but have never gotten them in this area. It also didn't feel tingly or blister like a cold sore. It started as a red lump and then it had a white circle in it that eventually turned a bit yellow and now it is almost gone... It never really hurt at all though, just a little bit of pain.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain an ulcer on the inside of lower lip seems to be an Apthous Ulcer or a Canker Sore as the presentation of the Ulcer looks to be Canker Sore only and not a cold sore..

I would suggest you to apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine over it..
Take Vitamin B complex tablet daily for a week..
You can also do cool compresses over it..
Take soft and bland foods..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
