How To Treat A Lump On The Testicle?

I have sent an email to a men's testicle exam, and I really worry about what I can/should do. Please see the email below:Hello,I have an embarassing problem. For already about a year now I notice a like a bit of a lump not on the 'testicle' but more on the area where the sperm is stored. It's on my right testicle. I have noticed it for about a year now, and i really dont dare to go to my home doctor with it. I haven't felt any real pain, only when I apply about the same amount of pressure on this kind of lump as I do to the rest of the testicle, only the lump hurts slightly. Is it possible that the cancer can be not actually on the testicle but on the area above it? I see pictures that only depict a vague area 'on' the testicle, not on the sperm storage area. Might it be just the sperm storage area I am holding?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history about a swelling on the right testicle which can very well be a cancer as it is painless.
Other possibilities are,: Spermatocele
hydrocele and so on.
I would advise you the following:
Since it is already one year you should go for immediate tests.
Ultrasonography with color doppler.
Get a diagnosis and get operated if indicated.
