How To Treat A Broken Knee Cap Which Makes Cracks Loud When Bend It ?

Hello, I broke my right knee cap nearly a year ago. However after many months of physical therapy my knee still hurts. Every time i bend it cracks loud enough that people around me cringe when they notice the sound is coming from my knee. However the left knee is the one that hurts, and cracks the most.
1- why does it still hurt
2-why is my left knee (the one that didnt break) hurting more.
3-does this mean i should stop jogging/running?

I am so sorry to hear about this knee pain and the noise that it makes during movements. Please, pain means something is wrong. I will like you to get consulted by an orthopedic surgeon. He will examine you full and possibly ask for imaging studies to look at the structures of the knee to correctly diagnose the problem. Depending on the findings, you shall be provided with a personalized treatment plan.

I will suggest that you refrain from over using these knees until the problem is addressed because it may rather worsen the problem.
