Hi I just found out that I have a Uterine Fibroid measuring 2.7x2.5 and I do not know what to do about it. My husband and I want to have a baby next year. I am 25 years and I Heard that the Fibroid grows and can cause miscarriages what can do apart from surgery.
Hi, Fibroids can cause difficulty in conception and maintenance of a pregnancy only when they are in the way, i.e., just beneath the endometrium or big enough embedded in the muscle layer. Those lying just beneath the serosal layer do not cause such disturbances unless they are very large. So, it is unnecessary to worry without proper evaluation. You should have a proper assessment and if your doctor feels it possible, you can go for medical myomectomy taking care not to conceive during treatment. Hope this helps.
