How To Treat IBS With Scanty, Sticky And Pasty Stools?
I have been suffering from IBS with scanty,sticy & pasty stools with lot of straining which is most distressing. No infection or any other abnormality has been detected either in stool examination and colonscopy except some benign polyps which were removed during the procedure itself. Please advise

Treatment-
Consult GI Surgeon for the execution of these suggestions-
Plenty of fluids
High Fiber Bland Diet,
with Fruit/Banana Shakes -x 2 times per day
with Spinach Soups
Stool softeners -Bisacodyl like/ if need be lactulose
Sporlac-Lactobacilus treatment-to normalise probiotic Colonic flora
Other causes need to be ruled out by Second opinion from your doctor and by Contrast CT studies ,which would help you to plan treats in future.
