How To Terminate Early Pregnancy?

Dear Doctor Nirja , I am a 26 yr old was in a relationship and I missed my periods which was due on Nov. 18 th. and the preg test says positive . Since I am not married I would like to go for an abortion , I would like to know the cost and how many days I need rest . Also I am having an oozing from breasts a milk like thing ,is it because of pregnancy ? Kindly reply at the earliest

Understand your concern
Medical termination should be done under the proper guidance of gynecologist. Yous should consult the gynecologist for medical termination of early pregnancy. Pelvic examination and USG should be done before using pill to confirm gestational age and intrauterine pregnancy. As it is used for intrauterine pregnancy up to 63 days of pregnancy. MTP pill contain mifepristone and misoprostol. Mifeprsitone 600 mg orally followed by 400 mcg misoprostol vaginally after 48 hour, 200 mcg aftre 4 hour under the supervision of gynecologist. Extra dose may be needed in some case that can be modified and scheduled by gynecologist.
Bleeding will start with in 1-2 hour after using last pill and remain for 4-5 days as whole process is complete in 3 days. Proper rest is required for 4-6 days in successful abortion. Cost of pill is around rupees 500-700. and doctor will take its charge according its practice. Post abortion USG is required after 14 days to confirm that whole abortion process is completely.
