Hi, I have gone through your question. Chronic cough during pregnancy can be due to any reason like infection or allergy. Chronic cough leads to increased intra abdominal pressure which can lead to sudden placental separation and intrauterine death.
Chronic cough can also lead to preterm labour( delivery before 37 weeks of pregnancy).
I would suggest you to consult an ENT specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated effectively.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
Regards,
Dr Deepti verma
