How To Stop Draining Of Pus From Pimple In Nostril?

My daughter has a pimple in her nostril. She has a history of staph and MRSA. It started draining on its own today as I pulled her lip a little to see inside her nostril... Has been draining on and off since dr visit today. We started bactrim this morning. Is it better that we get the pus out or just leave alone?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
You might have developed furuncle.
These are deep bacterial infections.
Treatment is with antibiotics but the choice of antibiotics should be based on culture and sensitivity tests.
Sensitivity test should be done on discharge obtained.
Once correct antibiotic is used she will recover.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
