How To Remove Food Stuck In The Throat?

Hi there! I was finished biking the other day and was chewing on a strand of wheat... Yes, wheat. Well I accidentally swallowed it and it got stuck in my throat. It s been 36 hours and I can t get it out with water... Gagging it out... Eating other things. Any advice?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have strand of wheat struck in throat which is troubling you it is acting as foreign body in your throat and leading to accumulation of bacteria and other microorganisms and there are chances of obstruction are there.

I would suggest you to visit immediately Gastroenterologist or ENT surgeon and it got stick so its difficult to get it removed with water. Get fibrooptic scan done and get t removed with non invasive fibro optic procedure.

You should get it done as early as possible as chances of settling that foreign agent in windpipe are there as it can leads to respiratory obstruction.
