Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi doctor, I have a fish bone struck at the upper part of my throat. I have tried drinking lots of water and swallowing solids but i can still feel it. I have also chewed gum. Pls what else can I do apart from going to the hospital. I think am pregnant, although I have not confirmed yet. Thanks.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fish bone stuck in the throat which is a condition you should immediately be concerned about as piece of fish bone can act as an obstruction there and could pass in any wrong passages and lead to breathing difficulties. I would suggest you to visit ENT surgeon once i.e Otolaryngologist once for this condition. Get a fiberoptic scan done and get it removed as this is a very minor procedure. Keep sipping warm water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
