How To Reduce The Swelling In The Ears?

I have an earache. there is swelling in front of my ear, enough to push the canal closed. There is fluid collecting in my outer ear but no pressure when i burp or cough. I started Azithromycin today. Will massage or heat help to bring down the swelling?

Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding swelling in ear along with fluid in ear canal. Your this clinical history favours that you are suffering from otitis externa may be furunculosis.

As for as treatment is concerned it is always necessary first to make the diagnosis and that is possible only a clinical examination. Till you are in waiting for specialist you may take-

1- 10% Icthymol glycerine locally.

2- Tab Diclofenac + Serratiopeptidase.

Probably above will help you .

Regards.
