Hi, Your history is a classical presentation of a condition called collumellitis. There is infection in the hair bearing part of nostril as a boil or furuncle. Since there is no space for infection and inflammation to spread, it comes under pressure and thus, produce very severe pain that one cannot even touch the nose. Since there is already white material coming on pressure, it means there is opened abscess but the presence of pain indicates inadequate opening. I would advise you the following: - Take Ibuprofen in proper doses if it suits you - Consult your doctor to get started on a proper prescription based antibiotic - Do not touch nose or press on it as this is dangerous and can spread the infection to brain - If the medical line helps then complete the course - Incision and aspiration surgery will help to have early and complete cure Take care.
