How To Reduce Pain In Leg And Back When Diagnosed With Rheumatic Heart Disease?

My daughter aged 10 is said to have rhd and she is taking penicillin injection. Now one year is passed but she is still having regular pain in her leg, hands and back. What is the remedy or is there a way confirm if she is actually having rhd? Now, she is again caught up with fever, joint, back pain and headaches. After giving medicine fever subsidies but reappears again after 4 - 5 hours. This is going on since last 5 days. Her condition is making us worry. Please suggest what is to be done.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
RHD is primarily a heart disease with involvement of other tissues most commonly joints.
The clinical features of fever and joint pains are quite convincing for RHD.
The treatment of RHD is enough to control other symptoms pertaining of joints.
Thus, no separate treatment is required for fever and joint pains.
I suggest you to take the treatment for RHD (penicillin) as prescribed by your doctor.
And in case the fever is recurring and non-resolving, you may consult your treating doctor to review the drugs.

Thanks and take care
