How To Reduce Fat In Belly?

My great niece is 17 years old and is obsessed with having a flat belly. She has been drinking a lot of protein powder fruit smoothies. I am very worried about her. Her mother died at age 27 in 2010. Her father touched her inappropriately at age 7 and is out of her life. What is the best way to loose belly fat and keep it firm. She is not fat at all but was chunky a few years back. was a size 15 now size 11. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi ,

Thanks for the details provided.
-Consumption of lots of protein is of no use .
- She has to do a few exercises and protein alone in diet is very bad.
She should get a balanced diet of proteins, carbs and vitamins.
-Proteins alone will cause her constipation and will be a breeding ground for worms.
- I would recommend her to visit a dietician who could help her with a proper diet chart for her age .

Thank you
