How To Reduce Excessive Saliva Production?

I have excessive saliva production... it s very annoying and uncomfortable.... something you may want to know is that I m addicted to opiates, and have been for over a year. This saliva problem has only been the last week, however.... please help. I know its minor but its very uncomfortable....!

Thanks for your query, i have gone through your query. The increased salivation can occur because of any gum or teeth infection or aphthous ulcers or any ulcerative lesion. The other possible cause could be because of the abnormal swallowing threshold. you have to make a habit of swallowing the saliva properly without retaining the saliva in the mouth. consult a oral physician to rule out the above said causes. Do not take any medicines since these drugs can cause reduced salivary secretion. i hope my answer will help you. take care.
